On April 23rd, on the opening day of the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, Dongfeng Motor Corporation signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Universal Motors Agencies (UMA) Company of Saudi Arabia. The two parties will build the Saudi market into a core strategic hub for Dongfeng's overseas expansion in the Middle East and an important fulcrum radiating the six Gulf countries. This marks a further breakthrough of Dongfeng Motor Corporation's global strategy in the Middle East market.

Based on the framework of the strategic procurement agreement between China and Saudi Arabia, the two parties in this cooperation will establish a trinity strategic alliance of "capital + technology + market". Not only have they reached a strategic procurement agreement for nearly 10,000 vehicles, but Dongfeng will also provide the "Dongfeng Solution" to UMA in areas such as product innovation, service support, and marketing transformation. In 2025, Dongfeng Motor will work hand in hand with UMA to launch exclusive models that meet the needs of Saudi consumers, forming a regional benchmark product matrix; it will help UMA improve the efficiency of lead collection, collation, and sales conversion, build an omni-channel marketing matrix, and set a new benchmark for automotive channel operation in the Middle East. In the future, relying on its advantages in the entire value chain such as research and development and manufacturing, Dongfeng Motor will create an integrated platform of "automobile + insurance + finance" to provide innovative, reliable, and high-quality products and services to Saudi consumers.

It is reported that UMA was established in 1947 and is one of the oldest automotive dealer groups in the Middle East region. In 2020, Dongfeng Motor Corporation reached its first strategic cooperation with UMA; in 2024, Dongfeng Motor became the first Chinese brand to serve a large local enterprise in Saudi Arabia.
